Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is expanding its footprint at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

What’s happening: OMB will open a second location at the airport in the first half of 2024, HMSHost, which oversees much of the airport’s food and beverage options, tells Axios.

Details: OMB Biergarten will be located on Concourse D across from gate D6 replacing Carolina Beer, which is currently still open. It will include sit-down and to-go options with approximately 125 seats.

  • OMB will launch a new menu at their location off Yancey Road on May 1, which will inspire much of their menu at the airport with classics like pretzels, sausages and schnitzel.

Why it matters: Charlotte’s oldest craft brewery is in a season of growth.

Of note: You can currently find OMB’s quick-service bar, Captain Jack’s Tavern, on Concourse E near gate E4.
