It's time to party at Bank of America Stadium again.
Why it matters: Charlotte FC gave the city something new to cheer for during its first three seasons, and made the playoffs last year. The bar is high for season four.
State of play: Charlotte's Major League Soccer club hosts Atlanta United in its home opener Saturday, Feb. 27, at 2:15pm.

Join Charlotte FC supporters’ groups at 703 McNinch St.
What to expect: Tailgating starts at 10am for the opener and supporters will march to Bank of America Stadium, past Clutch and the Carolina Panthers’ practice fields, up the greenway connector and around Bank of America Stadium to the East Gate at 1pm.
- Tailgating will typically start four hours before kick off and supporters will march to the stadium one hour before kick off.
- The tailgate is free and open for all, but you cannot park there.
- BYOB and no hard liquor.
- There will also be a prematch party along Mint Street in front of the stadium with face painting, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts, games and a photo booth.

Match-day gear
What to wear: Charlotte FC recently dropped their new "Fortress" kit (uniform), a nod to Bank of America Stadium, which has been coined the fortress.
- This replaces their Crown Jewel kit from the last two seasons as their secondary kit. Expect a new primary kit in 2026 and their next secondary kit in 2027

Charlotte FC's Supporter Group (SG) council has five member organizations:
To become a SG council member, you have to meet certain criteria, including having at least 40 pledged members with season tickets in the supporters' section of the stadium. Anyone can create an SG, and there are more than the groups listed above.
- A key SG council function is voting on how they spend money to buy match-day supplies, and that comes from $50 of every season ticket in the SG section at Bank of America Stadium.
