BAR ONE Lounge to open new waterfront bar in Lake Norman plus a South End location
BAR ONE Lounge is expanding to Lake Norman and South End this year and next.
This expansion is in addition to its Phillips Place location in SouthPark, which is currently undergoing renovations to add 2,500 square feet of space that’ll include more seating, a private dining room, a stage and a new kitchen.
Why it matters: This expansion will add over 500 hospitality workers in the Charlotte area, according to co-owners Steven Jensen and Kyle O’Brien.
What to expect: BAR ONE Lake Norman is set to open in winter 2023. The 15,000 square f00t space will be two stories — 800° Woodfired Kitchen’s fine dining restaurant will be downstairs and BAR ONE Lounge will be upstairs. Plus, it’ll have a floating bar that will include a full-service bar at the water level with seating for 25 guests.
- BAR ONE South End will open winter of 2024 at 2161 Hawkins, the new high-rise that’s being built where Sycamore Brewing used to be, next to a development called The Line.
- The 2,500-square-foot space will have a full-service bar and serve lunch and dinner dishes by 800° Woodfired Kitchen.
What’s next: BAR ONE’s Phillips Place location will complete renovations by Feb. 14.
