The most expensive home sales in 2022 included Baby Biltmore in Quail Hollow, but that wasn’t the home with the highest price tag.
State of play: The other top sales of the year were in Foxcroft, near SouthPark, and the most expensive home sold is in the Woodbridge neighborhood in south Charlotte.
Flashback: Last year, the most expensive house in the Charlotte region listed for $9.2 million, which included two contiguous parcels, as Axios’ Bri Crane reported: 401 Hempstead Place ($7.7 million) and 2532 Montrose Ct. ($1.5 million) sold in one single transaction as one combined property.
What we’re watching: In 2020, the most expensive house in the Charlotte region listed for $8M, and former Panthers’ running back Christian McCaffrey bought the lakefront castle in all cash for $7.5 million. We’re keeping an eye on this one as he settles into his new home in San Francisco.
