“Igloos” are one of those pandemic-era innovations that have become seasonal fixtures at some of our favorite spots.
Goodyear House

Goodyear House has six igloos. Each fits up to 6 people, including room for a high-top or stroller.
Details: There’s a two-hour time limit per igloo.
- Time slots vary, with more available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Staff sanitizes between each visit and there’s an option to keep the igloo door open on warmer days.
Price: A $25 fee will be added to your bill, which goes toward their charity Goodyear Giving.
- Last year, they raised enough money to be able to send staff members to Nicaragua to help build a school.

Aura Rooftop

Igloos are available atop the JW Marriott rooftop in Uptown through the end of February.
Details: Each fits up to eight people.
- There’s a two-hour time limit per reservation.
- Igloos are sanitized with peroxide spray and aired out for 15 minutes between each reservation.
Price: $10 per person and there’s a $350 food and beverage minimum. 20% gratuity will be added to your bill at the end.

Merchant & Trade

These are bigger, fancier igloos and are reservation only. They’ll be open through March 30.
Details: There are two igloos here; each fits up to 12 people.
- Both are unique and decorated by local designers: one is Boho-themed, the other has a slick and modern feel.
- Each has a small space heater inside, which is enough to keep everyone warm.
- The igloos are sanitized between each use.
Price: $750-$850, which includes a food and beverage minimum and the rental fee.
- Your reservation total will also include a 25% gratuity fee for your server, and tax, totaling a little over $1,100.

1501 South Mint

The igloo will be available through winter and the first part of spring.
Details: It fits six people comfortably.
- The time limit depends on the day you book.
- You can eat, drink, smoke cigars, and hookah inside the igloo.
- 1501 South Mint is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4pm to 11pm, Friday from 4pm to 1am, Saturday from 1pm to 1am, and Sunday from 2pm to 10pm.
- Each igloo is sanitized in between usage and cleaned every morning by a professional cleaning crew.
