Uptown diners, get ready for Suki Akor to serve up prime cuts of steaks, seafood, and vegetables with Japanese-inspired marinades and sauces, along with sushi, sashimi, and tempura.
This Japanese steak and sushi restaurant will be located at the bottom of the Embassy Suites Hotel (also set to open in February) at the corner of Brevard and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. It’s close to Buffalo Wild Wings, Amelie’s Uptown and Fahrenheit – expanding Uptown’s dining footprint.

Chris Constantine, an experienced chef who has operated several Japanese restaurants from Florida to Singapore, will serve as the master chef.
A Japanese robata grill will be the primary cooking source, which is cool and different.

The focal point of the space is a sushi bar. The space includes a the sushi bar, dining room, social bar, lounge and private dining room with cocktail bar. The restaurant and bar totals about 5,000 sqft.
The decor has a minimalist vibe and will featured a mixture of wood, iron and planks with hand-crafted Japanese art. Here’s a quick look around.
