This might be a big budget, but it’s still slim pickings in Charlotte’s most prestigious neighborhood. You’ll be hunting for a condo/townhome unless you can find a small/run down fixer upper on the neighborhood’s outskirts.

2 beds, 3 baths apartment (1,520 square feet)

NoDa

This is the price range it takes to start having more options in this trendy neighborhood. (We’re including nearby areas such as Optimist Park). Take this Villa Heights bungalow.

Quail Hollow

You’ll have lots of options for a family home here. If you want to stick closer to the lower end of this range, check out a family home in Huntingtowne Farms.

Ballantyne

Have no fear, if this is your budget, you can find a big, family home in this southern suburb.

You’ve got plenty of options in this price range — and you certainly don’t have to go to the top of this range to get a beautiful family home.

We’ve finally arrived at the SouthPark price range where you’ll be able to afford a house. It might be smaller or a fixer upper. If you want to be very nearby, but not in SouthPark proper, try Beverly Woods or Madison Park.

Plaza Midwood

Same as the above, you might be looking for a smaller house at this budget, but you’ll no longer be constrained by your budget to only condos to get in this neighborhood.

Matthews

You’ll have a good selection in this price range — even a house that’s walkable to downtown Matthews like this one.

Fort Mill

You’ve almost got too many options in this price range if you want to live in Fort Mill. You’ll probably narrow your choice between a more established neighborhood or new construction.

Huntersville

Another suburb where you’ll have a lot of options in this price range. This is also the range where you can get pretty darn close to the lake.
