The Boulder area's food scene is cooking up plenty to chew on this fall.
The big picture: A new sandwich shop is coming, a food truck has gone brick-and-mortar in Louisville and fall food events are filling the calendar.
Here's all the latest:
🌭 Home Team Deli, a Colorado sandwich chain, is planning a new location in the Arapahoe Alcove. An opening date hasn't been announced.
- The baseball-themed chain has a menu of hot and cold sandwiches, hot dogs, sausages, salads and wraps.
- The Boulder spot would be Home Team Deli's fourth Colorado location … now, if only we had a baseball team.
🥙 Boulder food truck Arepas Caribbean Food has gone brick-and-mortar with Tayrona, its new restaurant at 956 W. Cherry St. in Louisville.
- Founder Zuleyma Fernandez and her family started Arepas Caribbean Food at a local farmers market in 2015 before growing into two food trucks that often park at the Boulder Farmers Market.
- Tayrona expands with a mashup of Latin American and Mediterranean flavors, including arepas, Cuban sandwiches, gyros and other dishes.
🍫 Boulder-based Chocolove falls for fall with the return of its pumpkin-shaped chocolates, plus a new apple cider flavor made with milk chocolate, apple purée and cinnamon.
- The limited-time lineup also includes pumpkin spice milk chocolate and dark chocolate peanut butter, available online and at local grocery stores.
