On Friday I happened upon an estate sale in Hyde Park — and spotted lots of amazing local music memorabilia, including this very cool poster (👆) from the 1993-94 Austin Music Awards. (Asking price, $40)
- Highlights included a 1988 poster from Antone's for a concert dedicated to the memory of Clifton Chenier and a 1990 Austin Chronicle edition for sale for $100, featuring on its cover the irrepressible Stevie Ray Vaughan.
- Yes, the sale is now over, but there's other stuff available online.
The bottom line: It was like a time portal into the halcyon days of the Austin music scene.
