As part of our running summer series on cold drinks around town, we stopped by Kyoko Coffee, on Airport Boulevard, just by Austin Community College's Highland campus.
Why it matters: Life is short and summer is long.
The vibe: Unbelievably cute — the cafe operates out of a greenish-baby-blue mini-van, and we spotted a stuffed animal on display from "My Neighbor Totoro," an anime film from the late 1980s.

What we ordered: The tart yuzu spritzer, with an infusion of strawberries ($6.75), and the very purple ube milk ($5.50).
🏆 Pro tip: Bring a kid — there's a colorful playset for climbing on, and plenty of kid-friendly drinks, like an umami hot chocolate ($5.50).
