Siti, the East Austin restaurant tucked beneath the Frances Modern Inn is quickly becoming one of the city's most exciting dinner tables — it recently earned a Michelin nod as a recommended restaurant for its southeast Asian-inspired menu.
The intrigue: Siti's menu is perfect for sharing, with bold flavors that reward ordering across the menu.
🍽️ To order: Our large party started with the roti canai ($12). The roti is excellent on its own, but even better filled with lamb curry and dipped into a rich cashew butter masala.
For mains, our table shared the grilled chicken and eggplant skewers (both priced at $6 per skewer), char kway teow served with confit duck leg ($38), charred cabbage ($23) and 44 Farms beef cheeks ($35).
The cabbage, in serrano curry, was a fan favorite.
For dessert, don't skip Siti's Ah Ma's banana split ($13), with a bruleed banana, chocolate cremeux, coconut ice, pandan cream, cashew praline and Singapore Sling cherries. Indulgent without being overwhelming.
Six-word review: Bold, exciting flavors made for sharing.
