Saturn Cocktail Bar downtown has transformed into Nakatomi Plaza '88 for their annual "Die Hard"–themed holiday pop-up that runs through the end of the year.
Zoom in: The transformed space is full of movie references and themed drinks, including a hallway designed to look like the air duct scenes, fake C4 explosives hung from the ceiling and decor that mimics the 1980s office Christmas party.
🍽️ To order: I loved the smoked deviled eggs, the New York dog piled high with sauerkraut, spicy mustard, and onion sauce, and the crispy buffalo wings.
Don't skip their seasonal eggnog ice cream sandwiches.
🍹 To drink: The seasonal cocktail menu includes "Die Hard" inspired drinks like "My Wife's Pregnant" ($17) with Tito's, Twinkie cake, Biscotti, soda and banana cream, or the "Universal Terrorist Playbook" ($15) with Ilegal Mezcal, hot chocolate, creole shrub and cinnamon whip.
I tried the "Shoot the Glass" ($15) with Bombay Sapphire, cranberry, sage and edible glass. Crisp, herbal and smooth.
📍 If you go: Swing by Monday and Tuesday 4pm-midnight; Wednesday through Saturday 4pm-2am and Sunday 2pm to midnight.
