Holiday market opens in Republic Square

A new holiday market will open Thursday in Republic Square and run through Christmas Eve.

Driving the news: Fetch Concepts, the creator of Cherry Creek Holiday Market in Denver, is opening the "Oh What Fun!" holiday market in partnership with Downtown Austin Alliance and Austin Experiential group.

How it works: The market will showcase local vendors every Thursday through Sunday.

• Shoppers can expect to browse finds from brands like Midnight Cowgirl, Ōme Ink Art, Haute Rocker, With Love, Shay Butta, Paige's Bakehouse and Gallery Panda, along with seasonal cocktails, food trucks and additional programming throughout the market's run.

Zoom out: Republic Square's new market joins Austin's lineup of holiday pop-ups, including the long-running Armadillo Christmas Bazaar and Blue Genie Art Bazaar.
