With highs now regularly in the low 90s, we're declaring an end to our annual triple-digit contest.
Flashback: Back in May we asked you to send us your guesses for the number of 100+ degree days we'd suffer through this year.
Your median guess was 57 days.
State of play: The National Weather Service has notched 22 100-degree days at Camp Mabry this summer — and "we're unlikely to get another one this year," federal meteorologist Bob Fogarty told Axios last week.
Drumroll, please: Our winner is Kendall Garrison, CEO of Amplify Credit Union, who had submitted a very optimistic seven days.
"My lowball guess was more wishful thinking than anything else," he tells us. "I love summer, just not 100-degree summer!"
The intrigue: The next lowest guess was 30 days — from last year's winner, Chris A.
For those paying close attention, 30 is closer to 22 than seven, but we're invoking the Price is Right rule.
