The catastrophic rains of the last week have replenished Texas reservoirs and waterways and improved Central Texas' drought conditions.
Zoom in: Nearly all of Travis County has been downgraded from "severe" drought to "abnormally dry" conditions since July 3, per the U.S. Drought Monitor.
The latest: Following more rain yesterday, Lakes Travis and Buchanan, the chief reservoirs for Central Texas, are at 76% capacity, up from about half full at the start of the month.
