👋 Nicole here, wowed by San Antonio's River Walk.
What's happening: I spent a lot of time in San Antonio while growing up in Victoria, but I haven't been back since high school for much more than quick trips.
My dad was set to receive an award at the Texas Managing Editors conference on Saturday, so I decided to make a long weekend out of it.
Zoom in: We stayed three nights at a hotel on the River Walk, and I had so much fun running along the water each morning.
A 3-mile run heading north took me into the Pearl District. I'm in awe of the landscaping all along the River Walk, but especially on this route. I loved running under artist Donald Lipski's "F.I.S.H." sculptures and walked through a farmer's market at the Pearl before heading back.

Between the lines: Even though I was there during Fiesta, the River Walk wasn't too crowded and was easy to navigate each morning before 9 a.m.
