Republicans are outspending Democrats on political ads in greater Austin even as most major races are likely locked down, according to data from analytics platform AdImpact.
The big picture: Democrats outspent Republicans by about half a billion dollars nationwide between Aug. 1 and Sept. 20.
Zoom in: Austin has seen less political ad spending than other large Texas metros since August, with $6.8 million paid by both parties.
Context: In Philadelphia, in the swing state of Pennsylvania, the parties have spent more than $218 million since Aug. 1.
