Our Axios Texas social host is on a quest to visit every gas station taqueria his mileage budget can handle.
Greg Castillo is going to rate the tacos in one of three ways: "keep driving," "worth stopping for" and "worth going out of your way."
He will post more on our fledgling Instagram account. Follow here.
The latest: During SXSW, he stopped by Tierra Linda Taqueria, inside a La Familia Market that shares a lot with a Shell gas station, across U.S. 183 from the Target complex that includes Ramen Tatsu-ya.
What to order: Definitely the al pastor taco, which costs $2.10.
"It almost tastes like mole," Greg observes. "My mouth is watering from the flavor."
Where: Tierra Linda Taqueria at 8540 Research Blvd.
Six-word verdict: Worth going out of your way.
