Austin classic film series kicks off with "Casablanca"

Why you should go: The Paramount is a classy old joint to watch a movie, with nary a bad seat in the house.

• Also, it's air conditioned.

Others of our favorites on the lineup:

• The action flick "Mad Max: Fury Road," starring Charlize Theron, on June 9.
• "Paris is Burning," the landmark documentary that captures the 1980s New York City drag ball scene, slated for June 10.
• And the Japanese comedy "Tampopo" — which should be included in any food-in-movies festival — on July 8.
