FBI Director: "no information" supports Trump's wiretapping tweets

FBI Director James Comey confirmed that both the FBI and Department of Justice have "no information that supports" President Trump's tweets alleging wiretapping of Trump Tower by the Obama administration. NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers also confirmed that his agency lacks any information that backs up the tweets.

On POTUS' tweeted allegation of "McCarthyism": "I try very hard not to engage in any -isms of any kind."

Trump signs spending bill despite veto threat

President Trump announced that he has signed the $1.3 trillion spending bill that passed Congress last night "as a matter of national security," even though he threatened to veto earlier today, citing the bill's increase in defense spending. "My highest duty is to keep America safe," Trump said. He said he's disappointed in most of the bill.

Key quote: "I will never sign another bill like this again. I'm not going to do it again. Nobody read it. It's only hours old."
