President Trump visited Irma-ravaged Florida today, but the conversation was dominated by the backlash to his DACA conversations with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. They released a statement last night saying they'd discussed passing protections for DACA recipients in exchange for more immigration enforcement, but nothing for a wall.

As a source close to the White House told Jonathan Swan: "[Trump] didn't just ruin his credibility. He ruined our credibility - because we've been publicly supporting him. He humiliated us."

Trump's statements on the subject throughout the day, below:

• 6:11 am on Twitter: "No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote."
• 8:26 am to reporters: "[T]he wall will come later."
• 11:06 am to reporters: "Very important is the wall. We have to be sure the wall isn't obstructed because without the wall I wouldn't do anything... It doesn't have to be here but they can't obstruct the wall if it's in a budget or anything else... We're not looking at citizenship. We're not looking at amnesty. We're looking at allowing people to stay here... I just spoke with Paul Ryan, everybody's on board."
• 4:18 pm to reporters: "[I]f the Democrats aren't going to approve it [money for the wall], then we're not going to do what they want... We're working on a deal for DACA, but a lot has to do with the amount of security. We want very heavy security at the border... DACA now and the wall very soon, but the wall will happen."

One intriguing line: Trump said "we'll talk about that" in response to whether he'd extend the DACA program in the event of Congress failing to pass legislation within six months.
