First look: Stephanie Cutter to advise fast-growing Kalshi

Kalshi, the fast-growing prediction market, is adding Stephanie Cutter, a longtime Democratic strategist who's managing partner of Precision Strategies, as a policy adviser as part of a bipartisan overture.

Why it matters: Kalshi, which named Donald Trump Jr. as a strategic adviser last year, is working to educate the Hill and administration about the value of prediction markets. Since opening a D.C. office in January, Kalshi has held nearly 200 meetings with policymakers on both sides of the aisle.

"Cutter comes on board as the company continues on its steep growth trajectory, both to drive its data-driven storytelling and deepen its relationships in D.C. and across the country," the announcement says.

"Political campaigns and politicians ... are embracing Kalshi at an astronomical rate, often referencing their 'Kalshi odds.'"

What they're saying: "I've spent my career at the intersection of media, politics, and business, where noise and polarization often obscure the truth," Cutter said. "Data cuts through that. Kalshi gives millions of Americans a data-driven alternative to opinion and guesswork."
