Vance hosts $6 million fundraiser in D.C. suburb

Zoom out: The fundraiser was hosted by Republican operative and Vance adviser Arthur Schwartz, with three co-hosts — Meta president and vice chair Dina Powell McCormick, lobbyist Jeff Miller, and Tony Sayegh, a Treasury Department official during President Trump's first term.

• The dinner was at Schwartz's home. The 50 donors in attendance paid $100,000 per person to attend, or $250,000 per couple to join the host committee.

Guests included: GOP megadonor Jeff Yass, lobbyist Wayne Berman, IonQ CEO Niccolo de Masi, Sen. David McCormick (R-Pa.), Lockheed Martin VP of Government Affairs Robert Head, ConocoPhillips CEO Ryan Lance and Joby Aviation's Michael Thompson.

Zoom in: Vance is expected to host several major fundraisers in the run-up to the November midterms, in addition to holding events for candidates.

• Vance's role as RNC finance chair is giving him entree to some of the party's biggest donors — allowing him to expand his fundraising base ahead of the 2028 election.
• Through the end of 2025, the RNC had a nearly $100 million cash advantage over the Democratic National Committee, according to campaign finance filings.
