Sherrod Brown launching comeback Senate bid in Ohio

• Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has been in hot pursuit of Brown, visiting him last month in Ohio to encourage him to run, Axios scooped.
• Brown had been interviewing campaign managers in recent weeks, Axios reported last month.
• An official announcement is expected in the next two weeks, we are told.

The other side: "Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are so desperate they've recycled a liberal loser, said Nick Puglia, regional press secretary for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

• "Ohioans just rejected Sherrod Brown, and they'll do it again in 2026," Puglia added.
