A public art and climate change action dubbed "The Herds" led life-size puppet animals on a more than 12,400-mile trek from the Congo Basin to the Arctic Circle.
Why it matters: The effort symbolized animals' retreat from climate disaster.
What they're saying: Amir Nizar Zuabi, artistic director, called the action "an urgent artistic response to the climate crisis, a living, breathing call to action that stampede sacross continents.
- "Through the beauty and ferocity of these life-size creatures, we aim to spark dialogue, provoke thought, encourage engagement and inspire real change," Zuabi said in a news release.
