Musk hands out 2 $1M checks in Wisconsin after court declines to intervene

State of play: Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul (D) sued Musk in an attempt to stop the giveaway, arguing that his actions violated state law.

• The suit pointed to a since-deleted post to X by the world's richest person that said he would "personally hand over" at Sunday's state event $2 million to two people who had already voted in the Supreme Court election.
• Musk, a senior adviser to President Trump, later wrote a clarification stating that "entrance is limited to those who have signed the petition in opposition to activist judges."
• The Wisconsin Supreme Court's four liberal and three conservative justices unanimously declined to hear the case, without elaborating further.

What they're saying: "Everybody's got to mobilize everywhere like crazy for the next 48 hours," said Musk, who wore a cheesehead hat as he took to the stage at Sunday's Green Bay, Wisc., event.
