Scoop: New GOP pro-crypto PACs launch this weekend

• The First Principles Digital SuperPAC will work to elect pro-crypto Republicans, and America First Digital (c)(4) will push for policies that support Bitcoin and digital assets.
• The groups are led by Jason Thielman, who was executive director of the NRSC last cycle, along with former Lummis chief of staff Kristin Walker.
• Nearly $4 million has been raised or pledged for the groups, so far.

What to watch: The groups will launch their first, short digital and TV ad over the weekend as Republican senators gather at Mar-a-Lago and the Breakers for the annual National Republican Senatorial Committee retreat.

• "Promises made. Promises kept. Thank President Trump for fighting for crypto freedom," the ad says.

Zoom out: The leading pro-crypto PAC Fairshake —and its affiliated organizations — already have $116 million in cash on hand, ready to spend in the 2026 cycle.

• They were key players in 2024, especially for Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno's race in Ohio.

What they're saying: "Organizations like America First Digital are essential for the future of digital assets in the United States," Lummis said in a statement.

• "By focusing on electing strong Republican leaders and turning supporters into champions, they ensure the Bitcoin community and digital asset industry have a trusted and effective voice advocating for policies that keep America at the forefront of financial innovation," she continued.
