What we're watching: A dark comedy about a woman who finds out her former lovers are dying, a biopic about a little-known World War II unit, and the second season of "Dear Santa: The Series."

"Laid" available now on Peacock
Behind the scenes: This dark rom-com about a woman who investigates the deaths of her former lovers is based on an Australian show of the same name.
What they're saying: Executive producer and series star Stephanie Hsu discussed what it was like to be a part of a show with an unusual premise.
- "In this world where there's so many stories and so much content, if you can create something that is a little bit different, it is such a thrill to take a big swing," Hsu tells Axios.
"The Six Triple Eight" available Friday on Netflix
The intrigue: Directed by Tyler Perry and starring Kerry Washington, this film depicts the first and only Women's Army Corps unit of color to be stationed in Europe during World War II.
Fun fact: One of the last surviving members, 104-year-old Fannie McClendon, lives in Arizona.
"Dear Santa: The Series" season 2 available now on Hulu
State of play: This docuseries about the USPS' Operation Santa program returns with the stories of five young children who write letters to Santa and the "elves" who help these wishes come true.
"Aaron Rodgers: Enigma" on Netflix
- This three-episode series documents the four-time NFL MVP's life off the field during his rehab from the Achilles injury he suffered last season. Available now

- The third installment of Marvel's animated anthology series will be released over eight days. Available Sunday
