The classics
"Miracle on 34th Street (1947)" on Paramount+, Disney+, Peacock and Hulu
- Fun fact: This movie about a department store Santa Claus who is put on trial after he claims he is the real St. Nick won three Academy Awards.
"Home Alone" on Disney+

"Elf" on Max and Hulu

- Jim Carrey stars in the live-action rendition of Dr. Seuss' children's book starring.

"Nutcrackers" on Hulu
- Ben Stiller stars in this heartwarming comedy about a big city businessman who unexpectedly has to care for his four orphaned nephews in rural Ohio.
"Sweethearts" on Max
- Two college freshmen make a pact to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break, leading to a series of events in their hometown that puts their friendship to the test.
"Our Little Secret" on Netflix
- Two exes are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof after discovering that their current partners are siblings in this rom-com starring Lindsay Lohan.
"Style Me For Christmas" on BET+
- Raven Goodwin ("Grotesquerie") and R&B singer Mario star in this rom-com about a struggling boutique owner who falls for her famous client as he tries to shed his playboy reputation.
"Jack in Time for Christmas" on Prime Video
- This semi-scripted comedy follows Jack Whitehall and a host of celebrity guests, including Michael Bublé, Dave Bautista, Rebel Wilson and Jimmy Fallon, as the British comic finds himself stranded in the U.S. with just four days to make it back to the U.K. for Christmas. Available Dec. 3
"Brewster's Millions: Christmas" on BET+
- Richard Pryor and John Candy's 1985 comedy is reimagined in this film starring China Anne McClain, Romeo Miller, Telma Hopkins and two of Pryor's children: Richard Jr. and Rain. Available Dec. 5
"A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter" on Netflix
- Carpenter will perform songs from her 2023 EP "fruitcake" in this variety music special. Special appearances include Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, Quinta Brunson, Kyle Mooney, Sean Astin and Jillian Bell. Available Dec. 6
Family-friendly
"An Almost Christmas Story" on Disney+
Behind the scenes: This short film is inspired by the true story of a tiny owl rescued from New York City's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in 2020.
"Candy Cane Lane" on Prime Video
- Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross star in a movie about a man who gets tricked by a naughty elf when he attempts to win a holiday decorating contest.
"That Christmas" on Netflix
- Richard Curtis ("Love Actually") directs this animated film based on his trilogy of children's books. Available Dec. 4
