Trump slated to join Biden for White House meeting

President-elect Trump and President Biden will meet on Wednesday at the Oval Office in keeping with the president's promise of a peaceful transition of power.

Why it matters: The presidential transition period is vital for the incoming administration as it builds its team and starts to vet thousands of applications, Axios earlier reported.

Zoom in: The meeting is set for 11am, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says on X Saturday.
