Grammys 2025: Beyoncé will try to win Album of the Year again

Driving the news: The nominees for the 67th Grammy Awards were announced Friday morning.

• Beyoncé earned a total of 11 nominations and her fifth nomination for Album of the Year, with her groundbreaking country album "Cowboy Carter."

The other side: She'll face off against albums from Andre 3000, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish, Chapell Roan and Taylor Swift.

• Beyoncé may be an underdog heading into the Feb. 2 ceremony, considering Swift has won the award a record four times, including last year for "Midnights."

How it works: The Grammy winners are voted on by members of the Recording Academy.

• "To ensure the quality of voting, members are directed to vote only in those Fields in which they are peers of the nominees," according to the Grammys' website.

What they've said: Beyoncé shrugged off previous Album of the Year losses on her "Cowboy Carter" song "Sweet Honey Buckin":

• "A-O-T-Y, I ain't win. I ain't stung by them. Take that s—t on the chin. Come back and f—k up the pen."

The bottom line: The Beyhive will have its fingers crossed come Grammy night but their nominee faces stiff competition.
