Chicago office workers stayed home during the Democratic National Convention last week, according to Kastle Systems' office swipe data.
Why it matters: In the new work reality, employees have the flexibility to avoid the office when the commute gets nasty due to big events.
Zoom in: It was more difficult to get around the city during the DNC with street closures, etc., says Kastle's executive chairman Mark Ein who was in town for the event.
