State of play: The Trump campaign has largely avoided spending money on ads over the last several months, although outside groups and PACs allied with the former president have spent on the campaign's behalf.

• MAGA Inc., a Trump-aligned super PAC, is spending millions on Harris attack ads in battleground states over the next several weeks, per Politico.

The other side: Outside groups have also been blanketing the airwaves for Harris in the days since she entered the race.

• Although the Harris campaign has not yet reserved any ad time, outside groups, including American Bridge and Future Forward, have spent millions on pro-Harris ads.
