Vending machines that sell bullets are now operational in grocery stores in Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas.
American Rounds, the Texas-based company that owns the machines, said they use an ID scanner and facial recognition software to verify the buyer's age.
Gun-control advocates say making ammunition available in grocery stores will lead to more shootings.
