Former President Trump clinched the Georgia Republican presidential primary on Tuesday to move on the cusp of clinching the GOP nomination after dominating every early state contest, AP projects.

Driving the news: Trump had 1,184 delegates heading into Tuesday after dominating every early primary state.

The big picture: Haley was Trump's last serious challenger in the GOP primary before she dropped out last week following her disappointing finish on Super Tuesday.

  • Trump won 14 of 15 states on Super Tuesday in a massive show of force for the former president kicking off his pivot to the general election.

What to watch: The Biden and Trump campaigns have already ramped up attacks on each other as they look ahead to November, in what is expected to be a bitter, close rematch of the 2020 rivals.
