First look: NBC's Mike Memoli plans book on Biden after '24 election

NBC News White House correspondent Mike Memoli — who may hold the record for serving in Joe Biden pools — plans a book about President Biden, "The Long Run," coming from Twelve Books after the 2024 election.

Why it matters: Memoli has covered Biden, his family, and his inner circle of advisers for more than a dozen years.

Memoli first interviewed Biden in the fall of 2007, as an NBC embed in New Hampshire:

The then-senator was campaigning in New Hampshire's North County during his second presidential campaign, and spoke at the Coös County Democrats' Harry Truman Dinner.
Memoli ended up assigned to Biden full time when he became Barack Obama's running mate in August 2008. Memoli logged a lot of miles on Air Force Two for the L.A. Times, then rejoined NBC.
