Sen. Cory Booker's campaign said Friday it raised $6.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The state of play: While the Q4 sum is the biggest the Booker campaign has collected during his presidential run, it is still smaller than the majority of his 2020 rivals who have thus far announced their numbers for the quarter.

Where he stands: Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders leads the 2020 Democrats so far with $34.5 million raised. Outgoing South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg had the second-strongest haul — $24.7 million.

  • Former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former tech executive Andrew Yang, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar each posted higher totals than Booker.
  • Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was the only candidate to raise less than Booker with $3.4 million.
  • President Trump out-raised all Democrats in the fourth quarter of 2019, bringing in $46 million.
