Pete Buttigieg's 2020 presidential campaign said Wednesday that it raised $24.7 million during 2019's fourth quarter, reports CNN.
Why it matters: The outgoing South Bend, Ind., mayor's year-end haul topped the $19.2 million he raised in Q3, further solidifying his position as one of the top fundraisers in the Democratic field.
- It just about matches the $24.8 million he raked in during the second quarter, which was a staggering amount back in July for a candidate who was barely known at the beginning of the cycle.
The big picture: Buttigieg's campaign said it raised a total of more than $76 million from more than 733,000 individuals in 2019, but did not say how much money it still has on hand.
