Powerful House Republican chairman won't seek re-election

Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) will not seek re-election in 2018, he announced Monday. The seat will likely be competitive, as Trump won the district near New York City by 1 point. It will be the 32nd Republican seat that will be vacated.
