MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the Cleveland Indians will remove the controversial Chief Wahoo logo from their uniforms beginning in 2019.
Why it matters: The logo has appeared on the Indians' uniforms dating back to 1947, but has come under heavy criticism in recent years from Native American advocacy groups and others who have deemed it racist.
