When asked earlier this evening if he thought the government would remain shut down tomorrow, Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn told reporters, "Right now, yeah. Yeah, I do." He just ducked into a meeting in Mitch McConnell's office with Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake, but his tweets tonight have continued to paint a pessimistic picture, indicating that his views on the situation haven't changed.

A taste of what he's tweeted: A quote tweet reply to Tim Kaine pushing for a continuing resolution of "at least" three weeks, a share of a Daily Beast article headlined "Top Republican Shoots Down Tentative Shutdown Deal," a response to Jon Favreau of Pod Save America that called Favreau's tweet criticizing his shutdown stance "bad spin," and a share of the House Republicans' Twitter Moment promising "a trip back to 2013 & 2014" to relive the last government shutdown.
