In a first for Elon Musk's private aerospace company, SpaceX just launched one of its previously used Falcon 9 rockets.
Per The Verge, the rocket launched a communications satellite into orbit before landing again on one of the company's drone ships in the Atlantic.
Why it matters: "It means you can fly and re-fly an orbital class booster, which is the most expensive part of the rocket," Musk said on the company's live stream of the launch, according to The Verge. "This is going to be, ultimately, a huge revolution in spaceflight."
