NBA stars go political: Steph Curry calls Trump an ass

After Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank called Trump a "real asset" to the country, Stephen Curry told the San Jose Mercury News:

"I agree with that description, if you remove the 'et.'"

The point guard for the Golden State Warriors is Under Amour's biggest promoter. Curry is contracted with them until 2024, but said "there is no amount of money, there is no platform I wouldn't jump off, if it wasn't in line with who I am."

Under Armour's response: After a talk with Curry, according to the Times, the company released a statement clarifying that they don't necessarily agree with Trump on social issues — they "engage in policy, not politics."

Curry wasn't the only NBA superstar to speak up about Trump and his immigration executive order this week. Lebron James told the Hollywood Reporter:

"I am not in favor of this policy or any policy that divides and excludes people. I stand with the many, many Americans who believe this does not represent what the United States is all about. And we should continue to speak out about it."
