Parloa, an agentic AI startup, raised a $350 million Series D led by General Catalyst at a $3 billion valuation, marking a 3x increase from eight months ago, co-founder and CEO Malte Kosub tells Axios Pro.

Why it matters: Venture funding for agentic AI startups exploded in 2025 and shows no signs of letting up.

Flashback: Parloa, a developer of agentic AI for customer experience, raised a $120 million in Series C at a $1 billion valuation in May.

Zoom in: Previous backers Durable Capital Partners, Altimeter Capital, EQT Ventures, and Mosaic Ventures joined the round.

The company was not actively raising money when current investors approached to invest in another round, Kosub says.

By the numbers: The company, with headquarters in New York and Berlin, announced it surpassed $50 million in ARR in December.

The new round brings Parloa's total raised capital to more than $560 million in less than four years.

Zoom out: Parloa is far from the only agentic AI startup to raise big.

In June, Decagon raised a $131 million Series C at a $1.5 billion valuation co-led by returning investors Accel and Andreessen Horowitz.

Sierra raised a $350 million funding round in September led by Greenoaks Capital at a $10 billion valuation.

How it works: Parloa's platform allows enterprises to build, train, and manage their own AI agents for voice, chat and messaging.

What they're saying: "Everything is possible," Kosub says of raising another round this year. "Nothing is planned."

The bottom line: Expect more agentic AI startups specializing in customer service to raise big money this year.
