NRA to participate in town hall with Parkland students

The NRA will face students from Parkland, Florida, where a school shooting killed 17 people last week, at a CNN town hall Wednesday night. The students have been advocating for gun reform in the aftermath of the tragedy and calling on politicians to stop accepting contributions from the NRA.

The details: The NRA will be represented by spokeswoman Dana Loesch, and the Parkland students will be joined by family and community members. Florida Rep. Ted Deutch and Sens. Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio will also attend. The town hall will be televised from Sunrise, Florida at 9 p.m. ET with CNN's Jake Tapper moderating.

Zuckerberg admits Facebook "breach of trust"

Mark Zuckerberg weighed in on what he called the "Cambridge Analytica situation" today in a Facebook post, saying there was a "a breach of trust between Facebook and the people who share their data with us and expect us to protect it. We need to fix that."

Congress releases omnibus spending plan

The House and Senate have released the $1.3 trillion spending bill to fund the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year. It includes increases for defense, homeland security, plus funding for infrastructure and opioid abuse treatment.
