Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann, whose confrontation with Native American elder Nathan Phillips on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial last weekend drew controversy, said that he wishes he "could have walked away and avoided the whole thing" in an interview that aired Wednesday on NBC's "Today." Sandmann added, "But I can’t say that I’m sorry for listening to him and standing there."
