1 big thing: 🎞️ Celebrate Jewish and Israeli filmmakers

Enjoy the biggest weekend in film at this year's Denver Jewish Film Festival.
Why it matters: This event highlights the stories and perspectives of Jewish and Israeli filmmakers.
What they're saying: "The festival is not only for those who are Jewish, but anyone looking to experience artistic connection," Stephanie Herm, chief operating officer of JCC Denver, said in a press release.
What to expect: Twenty films, including documentaries, shorts and narratives.
- There will also be Q&As after some screenings and a challah making session.
The intrigue: Opening night will include a showing of "Remembering Gene Wilder," a documentary about the actor's life that includes film clips from across his career.
Dates: Saturday through March 17
Cost: $17 per individual showing for adults; $15 for students and seniors. $140 for a 10-ticket pass. $290 festival pass for all in-person and virtual screenings and opening night reception.

🎤 Jeff Dunham: The comedian and ventriloquist is stopping in Denver for two nights at Bellco Theatre.

- Fun fact: Emma Stone, a producer on "Poor Things," is the second woman to be nominated for acting and best picture for the same film; the first was Frances McDormand.
"Killers of the Flower Moon" on Apple TV+
- This film is nominated for 10 Oscars, including Lily Gladstone's first for actress in a leading role.
"Barbie" on Max
- Last year's domestic box office leader received eight nominations, including America Ferrera's first for actress in a supporting role.
"Maestro" on Netflix
- The intrigue: Bradley Cooper is the fourth person to receive more than one Oscar nomination for acting in a film they directed. The other three were Laurence Olivier, Warren Beatty and Clint Eastwood.
"American Fiction" on demand
- This five-time Oscar nominee is still playing in some theaters or available for purchase on YouTube, Vudu and Prime Video.
"Anatomy of a Fall" on demand
- Director Justine Triet is the lone woman in this year's achievement in directing category. You can still catch this in theaters or buy it on YouTube, Apple TV and Prime Video.
"The Holdovers" on Peacock
- This holiday movie is up for five Academy Awards, including Paul Giamatti's first for actor in a leading role and Da'Vine Joy Randolph's first for actress in a supporting role.
"The Zone of Interest" on demand
- The film's five nominations include best international film, the third for the U.K. See it in theaters or buy it on YouTube, Apple TV, Vudu or Prime Video.
"Past Lives" on Paramount+
- This two-time Oscar nominee is available to stream on Paramount+ with a Showtime subscription.
"Bobi Wine: The People's President" on Disney+
- National Geographic's feature about a pop singer turned Ugandan presidential candidate is up for best documentary feature.
"The Boy and the Heron" in theaters
- This best animated feature nominee is only available in select theaters.
"Elemental" on Disney+
- This is Pixar's 18th nomination for best animated feature.
"The Eternal Memory" on Paramount+
- This MTV documentary follows a couple trying to hold onto memories of their life together after an Alzheimer's diagnosis.
"Four Daughters" on Prime Video
- This documentary won the Golden Eye award for best documentary at last year's Cannes Film Festival.
"Nimona" on Netflix
- This animated feature is based on ND Stevenson's New York Times bestselling graphic novel.
"Robot Dreams" coming to Apple TV+
- Neon's animated film is listed on Apple TV+ but has not been released in the U.S.
"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" on Netflix
- This movie's predecessor, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," won best animated feature at the 2019 Academy Awards.
