Angry customers at a restaurant in Louisville confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who was dining with his wife, and asked him "[w]hy don't you get out of here? Why don't you leave the entire country?" They then proceeded to throw the senator's leftovers out the door, according to a video obtained by TMZ.

Why it matters: McConnell is the latest Republican to be confronted by a protestor in public while dining. Citizens have repeatedly confronted Republican lawmakers and officials over the last few months, including White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in Virginia and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in Washington, D.C.

The Pennsylvania National Guard was mobilized Tuesday during a tense second night of protests in Philadelphia over the fatal police shooting of Walter Wallace, a 27-year-old Black man.

Driving the news: Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney (D) and Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said in a joint statement a "full investigation" would be launched to answer questions that arose from video that captured part of Monday's incident.
