Sen. Mark Warner (D-Virginia) told Axios' Mike Allen this morning that he thinks there will have to be a tax code "fix it" bill within 6 months because of the mistakes in the bill, and that the push for the arbitrary deadline of Christmas hurt the tax bill. He said that the bill "is probably the single most disappointing piece of legislation" in his time in the Senate.
Why it matters: "This is a huge missed opportunity which will come back to bite my Republican colleagues," he said at an Axios event on Thursday morning. He added that the way Republicans handled the tax bill makes it less likely that they can get Democrats on board with other agenda items like infrastructure.
