A bellini-fueled Italian disco is popping up inside Union Market, courtesy of bar star Gina Chersevani.
Why it matters: The "mixtress" behind Buffalo & Bergen and Last Call Bar is taking over the former Bidwell space, which has anchored Union Market since 2014.
- A new restaurant tenant is expected to be announced soon. In the meantime, Chersevani and beverage director Michael Saccone are filling the space with an aptly named pop-up: Not For Long.
The vibe: Naples in the '70s. Think disco balls, DJ-spun Italian tunes and Sunday afternoon dance parties.
The drinks: Equal parts classic and playful. Chersevani and Saccone — both with Italian roots — are serving fresh fruit bellinis, Negronis and spritzes alongside drinks like a prosciutto-washed Old Fashioned and an Italian margarita with tequila and Aperol.
The treats: Cool off with soft-serve, gelato or a boozy "sgroppino" — lemon soft-serve blended with limoncello and prosecco.
Good to know: There's no savory food menu, but you're welcome to bring in bites from any Union Market vendor.
The bottom line: There isn't an end date yet, but Not For Long is living up to its name — so don't wait to grab a spritz and hit the dance floor.
